Environmental Field Technician
Job Description
Environmental Technicians work independently, driving company provided trucks to various job sites collecting groundwater samples. The technicians operate various large equipment including generators, air compressors, pumps, and pressure washers to assist in groundwater removal and monitoring wells.Our technician’s test for water parameters using field meters, take precise notes and collect watersamples for processing in a laboratory for analysis. We offer on-the-job training for motivated individuals.
Job Requirements
Must have outdoor work experience and be willing and able to work outdoors 100% of the timein all weather conditions.
Must be mechanically inclined with experience operating and troubleshooting tools andequipment.
Must be able to work independently on a job site.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Must have a valid California driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
Ability to read maps. Comfortable driving a Ford 450 Super Duty truck or Large Sprinter Vans and occasionally pullinga trailer.
Must be available to travel overnight 50% of the time.
Must have the ability to work full time. Must pass pre-employment physical and drug test.
40 Hr. OSHA Hazwoper Training is a plus, but we will provide the right candidate training. Solid written and verbal communication skills – this is an extremely detailed orientated position
College degree with science or environmental majors preferred.
